KHG in Plain English

The Kleine Humboldt Galerie (KHG) is a group of people.

Together the group organises exhibitions at the Humboldt University of Berlin.

This group has existed for 42 years.

The first members were university staff and various artists from Berlin. Since 11 years the exhibitions are organized by students.

Until today the group has organised 207 exhibitions.

Since 11 years there are one or two exhibitions every year.

These exhibitions show contemporary art.

Contemporary art is the art of today.

The exhibitions are in the university or close to the university.

The exhibitions have very different themes.

The places and objects are also very different.

Art is also shown by artists from all over the world.

So the exhibitions are very diverse and always different.

The Kleine Humboldt Galerie as a group is also very different.

The students study different subjects.

In addition, a new group of people is responsible for each new exhibition.

Everyone always works together on an exhibition.

Everyone contributes his or her part to an exhibition.

Students from all over Berlin can help with the organisation.

Every person studying in Berlin can become a member of the group.
